Humphrey Head is where the hard rocks of the Lake District meets the soft sands and marshes of Morecambe Bay, creating a unique opportunity for adventures.
Your guide will lead the group, scrambling just above the sands of the bay on the steep rocks of the headland. There are harder bits, easy bits, bits where falling off would make you muddy and bits where falling would make you wet. There are also some tight squeezes to try and a cave to explore. A brilliant and special little adventure.
A great variation on traditional rock climbing, where you travel sideways rather than up. If you get worried, just step back down onto the sand, as long as the tide's not in!
Just behind the sea cliff venue is a great spot for bushcraft - practice your survival skills and learn to make pizza and fruit crumble over an open fire with only a flint to get it started.
After getting the bug for moving over rock it’s time in the afternoon to get high off the floor at our local climbing venue. With a harness and ropes for protection, scale the steep crag at Lindale. It’s not easy but after a morning sea cliff traversing you will be ready for the challenge.
