Sit-on-Top Kayaking
By far the quickest and easiest way to enjoy paddling
Sit-on-Top Kayaking has revolutionised novices getting on the water quickly, easily, comfortably and being confident with the craft in minutes.
This is by far the easiest of the watersports in terms of comfort, fear factor and ease of use. The instructor will have you moving around like a pro in a very short time. A great way to explore the water with no steep learning curve.
Sit-on-Top's float either way up and the user cannot get stuck inside the boat. They represent an approachable and friendly sport for all ages and abilities.
Your bum will get wet, we offer wetsuits but mostly you won't need them.

We have a fleet of Kayaks including singles and doubles. You will get wet, so please bring a change of clothes!
Wetsuits are available to hire for the colder months. You will also need some change for the parking fee.

For a whole day of laughs and wetness consider combining Raft Building and Sit-on-Top Kayaking both based from our site at South Windermere. There is a cafe onsite for lunch. You might get wet twice and so you may want to change at lunch time, so bring two spare sets of clothes.

Tandem open canoes are a great way to get out and about on the water. For longer trips, greater stability and speed we can catamaran the boats, and even add a sail. We use mainly Windermere and Coniston lakes, but also have a mobile fleet that can go anywhere.

Canoeing is an excellent vehicle for travelling with all the toys needed to make shelters and cook delicious meals over an open fire.
Canoe Bushcraft involves travelling by catermeran canoes to a remote location before setting up camp and learning to light fires, bake breads, make pizzas, crumbles and hot drinks.
