This is a great way to manage a whole day out with the whole family, and have an adventure that will be remembered for years to come. Suitable for a huge range of abilities and ages. All the activities are based from the same site, which means we can chop and change activities and involve everyone. Bushcraft makes for an exciting lunch, where everyone comes together to share the experience of lighting the fire and cooking pizza and a dessert. If Great Gran has volunteered to be the official photographer up to that point, the Bushcraft Lunch is a good activity to get all ages and group members involved.
A great day of genuine adventure and joy. P.s. if the granparents ask yes there is a cafe right there
Great because the youngest members can use the third seat in the middle of the boats. If they get tired no problem, if they would rather fish for leaves with their net, totally fine. Parents get to have a more adult adventure at the same time, not many activities allow this.
It's like owning a horse for the day with the beauty and romance of caring for your beast, without the ongoing expense. Please note the session also includes the less romantic bits of daily horse care.
The beauty of this offering is that the parents can leave, with a promise to return! Close to the site is one of our providers that offer: Clay Pigeon/ Quad Biking / 4x4 Driving, drop kids and play for the day.
This Ghyll has a relatively flat profile, for a Lake District Ghyll. The start of the Ghyll is nice because its flat and easy, which means that a family can choose to do just part of the Ghyll and turn back with younger children, leaving older children the opportunity to go further and take challenges that suite their ages.
P.S. Ghyll Scrambling, Gorge walking, Burn Running are all basically the same thing, playing in the water while going up the river or stream.
We all LIVE, WORK & PLAY in the Lake District, so speaking to us you will get the local knowledge
